Responsibilities include electromagnetic and optical-circuit simulation, PDK and PCell development, Python workflow automation, design verification, optical and system co-design, test structure definition, characterization analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with silicon, packaging, III-V, IC, and operations teams.

Build and lead Lyte’s global People organization as the company scales. Partner with executives on organization design, workforce planning, talent strategy, compensation, performance, employee relations, compliance, and international employment. Establish HR infrastructure, systems, reporting, and scalable programs while supporting technical and operational teams. Leads Asia-based packaging, assembly, PCBA, and device test operations for NPI and volume production. Collaborates with OSATs, foundries, assembly houses, reliability engineers, and headquarters teams on wafer-level testing, IIIV and CMOS processes, device packaging, module assembly, qualification, and reliability testing. Documents technical results, drives process improvements, supports FMEA and failure analysis, obtains supplier 8D reports, makes project decisions, and expands the regional operations team.

Own package and substrate physical design for chips and multi-die modules, from feasibility, bump planning, layout, verification, and documentation through manufacturing release. Design flip-chip, wire-bond, SiP, and advanced packages; coordinate SI/PI, thermal, mechanical, test, OSAT, and substrate supplier activities. Produce manufacturing outputs, support qualification and failure analysis, manage design workstreams, and travel throughout Taiwan and Asia for NPI and production support.

Owns precision optical components for 4D FMCW lidar from specification and simulation through vendor qualification, reliability testing, and volume production. Responsibilities include optical tolerance analysis, vendor management, component testing, metrology correlation, failure analysis, documentation, and delivery recovery. The role collaborates across optical, systems, mechanical, quality, procurement, and NPI teams and requires travel to vendor sites across Asia.

Own wafer-level and wafer-sort testing for mixed-signal CMOS silicon. Develop, validate, debug, maintain, and transfer ATE programs across Advantest and Teradyne platforms, supporting first-silicon characterization, production ramps, OSAT correlations, yield improvement, probe-card qualification, and production issue resolution. Analyze test data, manage documentation and version control, collaborate with U.S. design teams and Taiwan partners, and travel regularly to support test operations across Taiwan and Asia.

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated test frameworks, build and release infrastructure, and cloud or on-premise environments for embedded, firmware, and application software. Manage Git workflows, containerized services, hardware-in-the-loop testing, quality metrics, coverage, regression tracking, and release readiness. Support continuous improvement and QA best practices across engineering teams.

Design and deploy automated optical IQC/OQC test systems for high-volume manufacturing. Own opto-mechanical fixtures, instrumentation, motion control, machine vision, test software, data acquisition, MES integration, qualification, tool replication, and production ramp. Develop optical acceptance criteria, correlate subsystem results with lidar performance, and maintain yield, throughput, calibration, traceability, SPC, and gauge R&R. Travel to US and Asia manufacturing sites to support tester deployment and volume production.

Own and improve Lyte’s IT infrastructure across identity, endpoints, Linux systems, networking, cloud services, security, storage, backups, and business continuity. Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Jamf, firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security controls. Deliver infrastructure and security projects, automate workflows with scripting, reduce technology costs, improve documentation and audit readiness, and support reliable operations in a hands-on Sunnyvale office environment.

Own optical component and subsystem design from requirements and concept through qualification, manufacturing introduction, and production support. Lead lens design, tolerancing, supplier execution, optical testing, validation, and root-cause analysis. Use Zemax or CODE V to optimize designs and Python to automate analysis and test workflows. Collaborate cross-functionally to balance performance, manufacturability, cost, schedule, and product requirements.

Develops and optimizes signal-processing algorithm pipelines for sensing products and hardware accelerators. Responsibilities include algorithm research, fixed-point modeling, MATLAB/Python simulation, performance validation, HW/SW partitioning, test-vector generation, silicon bring-up, and system integration. Three-month System Software Internship focused on developing and optimizing Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Groovy shared libraries, build automation, regression testing, and hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing Jenkins agents and Docker environments, improving pipeline reliability, migrating pipelines, building monitoring dashboards, troubleshooting embedded and application software builds, and documenting operational practices while collaborating with hardware, firmware, and software teams.

Develop platform firmware, board support packages, low-level drivers, bootloaders, hardware abstraction layers, and power-management systems for electro-optical sensing hardware. Bring up boards and SoCs, integrate RTOS and Linux drivers, debug hardware and firmware with laboratory tools, and optimize performance, memory usage, and real-time behavior while collaborating with silicon, hardware, and application teams.

Build and operate internal platform software, including data ingestion pipelines, backend APIs, AWS infrastructure, SDKs, dashboards, and analytics tools. Own systems end to end from architecture through deployment, monitoring, and incident triage. Partner with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable tooling and make system design decisions involving schemas, APIs, storage, and scalability.
