Responsibilities include defining governance, security KPIs, risk frameworks, testing strategies, vulnerability remediation thresholds, and launch-readiness criteria. The role leads red teaming, penetration testing, vulnerability research, and cross-functional security improvements, while providing final security sign-off for mission-critical hardware and software releases.

Lead security architecture for a LEO satellite network spanning multi-region cloud, ground stations, and edge nodes. The role owns zero-trust workload identity, SDN and control-plane hardening, runtime defense, policy enforcement, cryptographic key ceremonies, PKI, HSM and TPM architecture, secrets management, security telemetry, and anomaly detection. It translates federal and defense cybersecurity mandates into resilient technical designs and collaborates with platform, ground-segment, and spacecraft teams.

Lead design and implementation of a secure software supply chain and high-assurance CI/CD platform. Secure build and deployment environments, enforce artifact signing, provenance and SBOM generation, target SLSA 3/4 and NIST SSDF compliance, integrate AI governance and agentic controls into pipelines, and grow/mentor the security team.

Design, implement, verify, and deploy FPGA-based modem chains for satellite communications. Own micro-architecture, HDL implementation, verification frameworks, synthesis/place-and-route, HW/SW interfaces, lab bring-up, and mentor junior engineers.

Lead FP&A function by building and maintaining multi-year financial models, managing budgeting and rolling forecasts, enabling capital raise readiness, partnering with engineering on unit economics, and implementing ERP/FP&A systems to deliver clear financial insights to executives and the board.

Lead design, vendor management, development, testing, and production readiness of mechanically gimbaled high-gain reflector RF antenna systems for space. Define system requirements, run trade studies, lead multidisciplinary teams, manage cost/schedule, and establish qualification/acceptance campaigns for space environments to meet standards such as MIL-STD-461 and SMC-S-016.

Lead design, development, qualification, and spaceflight of phased array RF payloads. Define system architecture, perform trade studies, manage vendors, oversee test and qualification (vibration, TVAC, radiation), control cost and schedule, and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams to deliver flight-ready electronically steered antenna systems.

Build and maintain backend and infrastructure software for ground navigation: control plane, workflow orchestration, databases, product repositories, ingestion pipelines, observability, CI/CD, and operator tools. Integrate orbit determination, telemetry, reference data, and validation into repeatable per-spacecraft workflows and collaborate with astrodynamics, flight software, mission operations, and systems teams to operationalize navigation products.

Lead the specification, design, integration, testing, and in-orbit commissioning of advanced satellite optical payloads (OISL, time transfer, laser ranging). Build and manage an optical payload team, oversee suppliers, budgets, schedules, technical reviews, risk/anomaly management, and collaborate with systems, spacecraft bus, ground segment, and program management to ensure mission success.

The RF Test Engineer designs and manages testing systems for satellite RF payloads, collaborates with design teams, and automates testing processes.

The Senior Flight Software Engineer will develop and integrate embedded software for satellite systems, ensuring successful hardware validation, product delivery, and support throughout the entire lifecycle.
