Provides customer service to fosters, adopters, volunteers, and staff; coordinates veterinary appointments; maintains foster databases and reports; and supports shelter operations, animal enrichment, and volunteer engagement.

Coordinates the shelter’s dog foster program by recruiting, training, and supporting foster caregivers; matching dogs with suitable homes; maintaining foster and animal records; and coordinating handoffs, medical care, medications, vaccinations, veterinary appointments, and behavior plans. Provides customer service, education, follow-up communication, adoption support, and collaboration with veterinary and shelter teams.

Oversee the shelter’s foster cat program, including kitten care, vaccinations, routine medical support, Foster to Adopt coordination, foster counseling, and placement activities. Maintain foster records, schedule veterinary appointments and surgeries, train fosters and volunteers, respond to emergencies, support adoptions, and collaborate across shelter departments. The role requires customer service, animal handling, weekend and holiday availability, and comfort working with animals experiencing illness, injury, or mistreatment.

Administer the animal adoption process by reviewing applications, maintaining shelter records, processing paperwork, answering inquiries, scheduling pickups, and supporting adoption counseling. The role provides customer service and post-adoption support, coordinates with clinic and shelter teams, prepares surgery schedules, engages volunteers, and ensures adopters understand their pets’ medical and behavioral needs. Weekend, holiday, and varying-shift availability is required, along with comfort handling animals and working in a shelter environment.

Supports a county shelter foster program through administrative coordination, foster engagement, training, animal placement, behavioral support, medical appointment scheduling, and record maintenance. Provides customer service to fosters, volunteers, clients, and staff; enters animal health and behavior data; coordinates medications, vaccinations, and surgeries; assists with animal care and enrichment; and collaborates across shelter departments. Requires weekend, holiday, and varying-shift availability, animal handling comfort, and the ability to work in challenging shelter conditions.

Coordinates inbound and outbound dog and cat transfers between shelters and rescue partners. Manages animal selection, medical and behavioral preparation, transportation logistics, documentation, partner communication, and placement transitions. Collaborates with veterinary, behavior, foster, adoption, and shelter teams while maintaining accurate records and supporting animal welfare operations.

Counsels prospective adopters, reviews applications, processes paperwork and fees, updates shelter records, schedules pickups, and provides adoption and post-adoption support. The role coordinates with clinic and shelter teams, communicates animal medical and behavioral information, supports volunteers, maintains schedules and records, welcomes visitors, and follows adoption and safety protocols while caring for animals and serving diverse members of the public.

Coordinates organization-wide technology operations, including IT asset lifecycle management, vendor relationships, Google Workspace administration, desktop and network support, request prioritization, onboarding, training, documentation, and process improvement. Provides technology support across multiple LifeLine locations and remote staff, troubleshoots county-owned equipment, assists with software adoption and data collection, and escalates security, governance, and technical issues appropriately.

Supervises adoption staff and oversees the adoption process from inquiries through completion. Provides training, mentorship, customer guidance, record-keeping oversight, and animal-adopter matching support. Coordinates adoption events, volunteers, marketing, and other shelter departments while ensuring policy compliance, staff coverage, and animal welfare. The role also supports behavior evaluations, animal handling, onboarding, attendance review, and operational issue resolution.

Manage full-cycle recruitment across frontline, professional, supervisory, and specialized roles. Responsibilities include sourcing, screening, background checks, offers, ATS administration, hiring-manager partnership, recruitment marketing, candidate pipeline development, compliance, career fairs, and recruiting analytics. The role also promotes an inclusive culture, supports volunteers, maintains confidentiality, and works hybrid across Metro Atlanta shelters.

Develops LifeLine Animal Project’s brand positioning, institutional narrative, audience growth strategy, and donor-facing communications. Conducts audience and competitive research, writes major organizational content and CEO op-eds, supports fundraising and government communications, guides cross-channel brand execution, advises senior leaders, supports crisis communications, and tracks strategic performance. The role also builds organizational authority in animal welfare and occasionally travels to shelters or community events.

Provides compassionate frontline support to pet owners through counseling, referrals, communication management, recordkeeping, donated-item distribution, shelter intake assistance, and medical appointment coordination. Collaborates with staff and volunteers to support daily operations and exceptional client service. May also organize community events, develop partnerships, conduct outreach research, and create educational materials promoting animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
