Conduct computational research on mesoscopic modeling of interface thermodynamics, kinetics, and microstructure evolution in metals and metal oxides. Develop phase-field models, numerical methods, and simulation codes for coupled electrochemical and chemo-mechanical degradation processes. Perform simulations on supercomputers, collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams, publish findings, and present results at conferences and within the DOE community.

Advises stakeholders, vendors, and contracting officials; develops policies, leads procurement projects, resolves complex contractual issues, and may train and mentor procurement professionals.

Coordinate procurement, tracking, delivery, and status reporting for electronics fabrication and network installation projects. Conduct independent experimental physics research supporting laser-matter studies at NIF, OMEGA, and Jupiter Laser Facility. Design and execute laser- and x-ray-driven experiments, develop and field optical, x-ray, and nuclear diagnostics, analyze results, publish findings, present technical reports, collaborate with researchers, coordinate resources, and pursue independent research. A PhD and experimental experience in plasma physics, hydrodynamics, radiation transport, condensed matter, nuclear physics, or related fields are required.

Architects, implements, and administers highly available cloud and application infrastructure for enterprise services. Responsibilities include automation, orchestration, monitoring, configuration and patch management, security compliance, vulnerability remediation, capacity planning, performance tuning, lifecycle management, and operational support. The role also leads migration from virtualized infrastructure to containerized services using CI/CD automation and technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Terraform, and Ansible. Lead LLNL’s institutional biosafety program, overseeing biological research risk assessments, containment reviews, compliance, audits, investigations, training, emergency response, metrics, and corrective actions. Serve as Institutional Biosafety Officer and committee member while liaising with DOE, USDA, and other regulators. Develop policies, support facility design, mentor biosafety personnel, and ensure safe, secure, compliant operations across biological and laboratory animal research programs.

Supervise the Acquisition Management Group while providing technical leadership for procurement, supplier coordination, budgeting, workforce planning, and equipment acquisition. Prepare procurement packages, monitor deliverables, resolve vendor and fabrication issues, manage technical and financial authority, and serve as a Subcontract Technical Representative or Technical Release Representative. The role requires onsite work, DOE Q clearance eligibility, team leadership, acquisition expertise, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and coordinate electronic and mechanical systems.

Provides mechanical and electro-mechanical drafting and design support for complex control and diagnostic systems. Responsibilities include CAD-based design, technical calculations, drawing and data management, documentation maintenance, design-standard reviews, and support for design presentations. Oversees intelligence analysis of foreign nuclear weapons programs, project portfolios, budgets, staffing, technical quality, sponsor relationships, and classified deliverables. Develops strategic goals, research agendas, proposals, and innovative analytic capabilities while advising senior leadership and government sponsors. Requires extensive multidisciplinary leadership, nuclear weapons expertise, classified-environment experience, and an active DOE Q or Top Secret clearance with SCI access eligibility.

Leads the Counterterrorism group within LLNL’s International Assessments Program, overseeing intelligence analysis of foreign nuclear weapons programs, nuclear proliferation, and radiological or nuclear terrorism threats.
