Leads project accounting, financial performance analysis, job costing, reporting, and process improvement for a project-based professional services firm. Partners with executives, business unit leaders, project managers, and accounting staff to improve profitability, accountability, automation, and strategic decision-making. Oversees NetSuite optimization, supports merger and acquisition analysis and due diligence, and assists the Controller with financial management systems and performance analysis.

Handles accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, payments, invoicing, financial monitoring, payroll time submissions, government contract billing, subcontracts, purchase orders, and DCAA reporting. The role requires accounting software experience, government cost accounting and contracting knowledge, eCraft and WAWF/PIEE submission experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Work is primarily based in Reston, Virginia, with possible hybrid flexibility and occasional work at customer or off-site facilities.

Supports account representatives by preparing quotes, processing NetSuite sales orders, coordinating shipments and service completion, maintaining accurate records, and resolving customer and vendor issues. Monitors order progress, provides proactive updates, supports follow-up and service reminders, assists with reports and trade show preparation, and coordinates with laboratory, warehouse, purchasing, operations, finance, shipping providers, and customers.
