Provides strategic and hands-on leadership for the human resources function, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, leave administration, investigations, compliance, and labor law. Advises terminal managers and safety directors, manages HR programs and job descriptions, evaluates benefits and compensation, and supports regulatory compliance across multiple transportation locations. Requires travel to other terminals as needed.

Oversee daily school bus terminal operations, including dispatch, routing, scheduling, driver assignments, fleet maintenance, safety, regulatory compliance, staffing, and customer relations. Manage terminal personnel, investigate accidents, maintain records, support budgeting, resolve school district concerns, and ensure reliable transportation services. The role requires transportation or fleet management experience, supervisory skills, knowledge of DOT regulations, and proficiency with transportation software and Microsoft Office.

Oversee school bus terminal safety, driver recruitment, hiring, training, CDL testing, DOT compliance, qualification files, background checks, MVR reviews, safety meetings, and accident investigations. Coordinate with dispatch, terminal management, schools, parents, and the community to resolve safety concerns and maintain regulatory compliance. The role requires occasional on-call weekend or evening availability and limited direct supervision of office and driving staff.
