Kinsale Insurance Benefits Overview

Serves as a strategic and tactical HR advisor to Underwriting leaders and employees. Coaches managers on engagement, performance, compensation, talent development, employee relations, and workforce matters. Supports benefits, recruiting, and HR programs; ensures employment-law compliance; identifies process improvements; and handles sensitive employee information confidentially.

Manages property liability claims from investigation through resolution. Evaluates coverage, liability, damages, and exposure; communicates determinations; negotiates settlements; directs defense counsel and litigation strategy; participates in mediations, settlement conferences, and trials; and maintains accurate claim files. The role requires analytical judgment, negotiation, communication, organization, and insurance claims experience, with opportunities for professional development.

Oversee insurance coverage litigation, analyze complex coverage and claims-handling issues, assess exposure, collaborate with outside counsel, draft pleadings and coverage positions, respond to regulatory complaints, participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials, and advise senior management on legal and underwriting best practices.
