Responsibilities include requirements development, firmware architecture and implementation, hardware-aware optimization, resource trade studies, hardware-based testing, and cross-functional collaboration with algorithm, hardware, FPGA, and mechanical engineers. The role also supports recruiting and hiring in a rapidly growing startup.

Lead RTL design and FPGA development for spaceborne radar systems and signal-processing algorithms. Responsibilities include defining firmware requirements, architecting embedded radar software, evaluating FPGA resource tradeoffs, integrating RTL on FPGA/SoC platforms, performing synthesis and timing analysis, and leading verification on prototype and flight hardware. The role also involves cross-functional collaboration and assisting with team hiring.

Lead design, prototyping, testing, calibration, and maturation of high-frequency and millimeter-wave electronically scanned radar antennas. Translate radar performance into antenna requirements, develop simulation and analysis tools, optimize phased-array performance, coordinate with suppliers, conduct near- and far-field measurements, support spacecraft integration and environmental qualification, and develop beam-steering and antenna control methods with FPGA, DSP, software, and RF teams. Drive technical reviews and hardware development from concept through flight-ready products.

Design, integrate, test, qualify, and transition flight-ready RF and microwave hardware for spaceborne electronically steered radar systems. Responsibilities include RF performance budgeting, circuit and PCB design, simulation, component selection, prototype bring-up, calibration, environmental qualification, manufacturing readiness, supplier engagement, and system integration. The role provides principal-level technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams and requires extensive hands-on laboratory experience with specialized RF test equipment.

Own PCB architecture, layout, routing, quality assurance, and lifecycle execution for high-speed digital, mixed-signal, RF, and power boards supporting spaceborne radar and defense systems. Collaborate on stack-ups, signal integrity, manufacturability, mechanical and thermal constraints, vendor coordination, design reviews, documentation, libraries, and aerospace compliance. Support fabrication, assembly, bring-up, supply-chain readiness, and material qualification for high-reliability hardware.
