Leads all engineering disciplines across the product lifecycle, from concept and architecture through verification, qualification, and production. Develops engineering roadmaps, drives innovation, ensures quality and compliance, manages budgets and resources, and builds high-performing teams. Partners with product management, manufacturing, supply chain, customers, and executives to deliver complex, high-reliability hardware and software products. Supports technical proposals and reviews while promoting accountability, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.

Sets up and operates various manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, drills, hones, hobs, shapers, and gear generators. Performs first-piece and ongoing quality inspections, adjusts tooling and equipment to meet dimensional and finish requirements, interprets blueprints and GD&T, maintains production and inspection records, supports operator training, participates in continuous improvement, and follows safety, quality, TPM, and housekeeping procedures.

Set up and operate CNC equipment to produce quality products. Inspect parts using CMMs, micrometers, indicators, and calipers; adjust equipment as needed; identify defects; maintain manufacturing and inspection records; follow safety and quality procedures; and assist with training other operators.

Directs company-wide quality systems to maintain ISO 9001 and AS9100 certification, ensure customer and regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement. Oversees audits, corrective actions, document control, gauge calibration, supplier evaluations, quality planning, customer complaints, and manufacturing process improvements. Partners with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers on quality issues, cost reduction, new products, and process changes.

Design and deliver fractional-horsepower motors and motor-drive electronics for aerospace actuators. Develop motor models, mixed-signal schematics, real-time firmware, and control algorithms. Lead testing, HIL, qualification, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards (DO-160, DO-254, ARP4754). Support integration, safety analyses, and production readiness.

Manage assigned Aerospace & Defense accounts to grow sales of fiber optic gyro products through relationship building, prospecting, proposal writing, contract management, cross-functional collaboration, forecasting, and frequent travel. Develop sales plans, support technical/customer discussions, train representatives, and maintain CRM records to meet tactical and strategic quotas.

Design and develop high-reliability mixed-signal electronic hardware for aerospace electromechanical actuation systems. Responsibilities include analog/digital schematics, PCB layout and release, component selection, circuit analysis, EMC/environmental compliance (DO-160/DO-254), verification and validation (bench, environmental, HIL), troubleshooting, certification support, and maintaining technical documentation.

Serve as primary quality contact for assigned programs/customers, investigate and resolve customer quality concerns, develop and track corrective actions, perform audits, manage supplier quality, prepare PPAP/MSA documentation, and support continuous improvement and compliance to quality standards.

Support and improve manufacturing processes for existing and new products using lean principles. Develop methods, tooling, process documentation, time standards, cost estimates, and capital justifications. Maintain routings and work orders, mentor shop-floor personnel, coordinate with vendors and management, and support Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery continuous improvement.

Supports manufacturing flow by monitoring schedules, expediting jobs, staging materials, updating ERP, coordinating across Production, Quality, and Shipping, assisting inventory counts, operating material handling equipment, and supporting continuous improvement and production documentation.

Perform precision dimensional inspections and in-machine measurements of aerospace ball screws and components, develop inspection and FAI documentation, validate machining processes and Cp/Cpk, lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions, ensure AS9100/AS9102 compliance, and support supplier and manufacturing quality activities.

Set up, program, and operate cylindrical, centerless, thread, and surface grinders to produce high-precision ball screw components. Develop and optimize grinding processes, select wheels and dressing parameters, compensate for heat-treat and prior machining effects, perform dimensional and surface inspections, troubleshoot defects, document setups, and mentor junior machinists while ensuring quality and safety.
