Justice Defenders
Justice Defenders is a registered UK charity and US nonprofit founded in 2007 by Alexander McLean. It brings together people in prison, prison staff, legal professionals and donors to train incarcerated people and prison staff side by side as paralegals and lawyers. Working through prison-based legal offices in Uganda, Kenya and other African countries, it equips defenceless communities with legal education, training and practice so that those denied justice can get a fair hearing.
