Supports the development, delivery, and evaluation of employee training programs. Responsibilities include ensuring customer service quality and regulatory compliance, resolving complex inquiries, managing cash-handling security, scheduling, approving timecards, conducting performance appraisals, opening and closing offices, developing employee training, and implementing process improvements.

Processes and reconciles accounting transactions, analyzes financial data, monitors budgets and grants, prepares reports and financial statements, explains fiscal policies, audits discrepancies, and supports improvements to financial tracking systems. The role partners with staff and leadership to ensure accurate, compliant financial operations within a public health department.

Manages Johnson County Transit’s Federal Transit Administration grants, including opportunity research, applications, budgets, compliance, reporting, drawdowns, project accounts, and public notification. Coordinates with federal, regional, state, county, and community partners; oversees DBE program implementation; reviews contracts and requisitions; maintains grant policies; and supports approvals by transportation and county governing bodies.

Performs civil engineering reviews and designs for land development, stormwater, roads, and infrastructure projects. Manages complex projects, budgets, contracts, permits, technical studies, and reports; provides engineering sign-off and resolves design and construction issues. Coordinates engineering staff, trains stakeholders, supports capital improvement and asset management programs, and serves as a technical liaison to developers, contractors, consultants, and the public.
