Oversees the infection prevention and control program, including infection surveillance, HAI and NHSN reporting, antibiotic stewardship, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and policy development. Provides infection control education and serves as a clinical educator for orientations, competencies, skills labs, equipment implementation, and strategic initiatives. Collaborates with occupational health, patient care services, human resources, and organizational leadership while maintaining current nursing and regulatory knowledge.

Performs EMT duties, operates glucometers and ECG equipment, supports paramedic teams during medical and trauma emergencies, and accurately documents patient interventions for clinical and legal review.

Coordinates specialty nursing staff and patient-care activities, ensures regulatory and facility-policy compliance, provides direct emergency nursing care, completes patient assessments and histories, administers medications and treatments, and maintains detailed patient records.

Provides professional pharmaceutical care in a hospital, verifies medication orders in the EMR, maintains drug inventory and controlled-substance accountability, prevents distribution of outdated medications, supervises and trains pharmacy technicians, supports pharmacy department operations, and maintains antimicrobial stewardship data. The PRN schedule requires weekend morning coverage every four to six weeks.
