Lead tax compliance and planning for a multi-entity real estate group: review corporate and partnership tax returns, manage foreign and GST/HST reporting, prepare EIFEL calculations, liaise with CRA and external advisors, support audits, and perform month‑end/year‑end accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Mentor junior staff and improve tax controls and processes.

Lead the in-house legal function for construction and real estate development. Provide strategic legal advice, negotiate and manage high-value contracts, advise on Ontario Construction Act issues, manage disputes and external counsel, ensure compliance, and supervise a Law Clerk.

Manage the full lifecycle of land development applications and approvals, coordinating municipal authorities, consultants, and internal teams. Prepare submission packages, track deliverables, schedules and budgets, attend meetings and public consultations, review technical documents, and manage post-construction inspections and securities to ensure timely project completion.
