Provides comprehensive nursing care for nursery patients during assigned shifts, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation. Oversees assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment while collaborating with the healthcare team and meeting nursing standards of practice. This is a part-time position requiring two 12-hour shifts per week.

Under RN direction, the Nursing Support Technician provides patient care, respiratory functions, and unit support while following hospital policies, protocols, and procedures. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, Basic Life Support certification, and completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Patient Care Technician program. Relevant job experience or training may also be considered.

Manages physician-office revenue cycle activities, including charge entry, coding and billing accuracy, denied-claim corrections, payment posting, cash reconciliation, collections, and month-end reporting. Answers patient billing questions, supports clinic staff, assists with prior authorizations and physician credentialing, monitors third-party billing submissions, and helps educate offices on registration, insurance verification, point-of-service collections, and coding processes.

Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes for inpatient and outpatient encounters. Review medical records, collaborate with CDI staff to improve physician documentation specificity, educate medical staff on coding compliance, conduct retrospective audits, and identify process improvements.

Coordinates clinical quality measures, incentive programs, infection control, quality improvement initiatives, and data reporting for a physician practice. Educates and trains clinical staff, manages programs including PCMH, MIPS, and value-based payment, reviews physician documentation, supports policy development and performance evaluations, and addresses billing, patient satisfaction, and physician-related issues.

Receives, identifies, and processes blood and non-blood laboratory specimens in the laboratory computer system. Provides front-desk coverage, handles phones and inquiries, logs outside requests, prepares reference laboratory send-outs, charts reports, and manages specimen-processing information. Performs general laboratory and reference sample processing, maintains competency across assigned areas, and trains new staff.

Provide comprehensive nursing care for assigned Emergency Department patients during a 7pm-7am shift: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; manage unit personnel, supplies, and equipment; and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. BLS/ACLS and ED experience preferred.

Serve as EMR super user, liaise with third-party billing company on denials and coding recommendations, assist with prior authorizations and physician credentialing, and support revenue cycle training for clinic staff.

Directs and implements the hospital Infection Prevention Program, coordinates infection control data collection and quality improvement, ensures regulatory compliance, communicates results to leadership and clinical staff, and leads related education, committee participation, and staff development while maintaining physical and administrative duties.
