Provides patient care, respiratory functions, and unit support under RN direction while following hospital policies, protocols, and procedures. This is a full-time 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. position requiring every other weekend coverage.

Reviews inpatient, outpatient, and emergency medical records for completeness, accuracy, patient identification, and assigned deficiencies. Processes analysis queues, scans and indexes documents into the EMR, corrects poor-quality originals, files paper records, processes dictated reports, and supports requestors with courteous customer service. The role requires medical terminology, attention to detail, computer proficiency, accurate information processing, and the ability to handle physical records and rotating shifts.

Manages physician-office revenue cycle activities, including charge entry, coding queries, claim denial follow-up, payment posting, cash reconciliation, billing questions, prior authorizations, month-end reporting, and provider billing support. Serves as an electronic medical record super user and helps educate clinic staff on registration, insurance verification, collections, and coding processes. Completes physician credentialing and appointment packets as needed.
