Own the end-to-end architecture of a hierarchical embodied AI system for next-generation surgical robotics. Define interfaces between perception, reasoning, and real-time control; establish safety, latency, evaluation, and deployment standards; guide transition from offline research to production prototypes; and lead cross-functional collaboration across research, engineering, data, and product teams. Develop and fine-tune multimodal models, mentor technical staff, and set the architecture strategy for safe, performant robotic systems.

Leads Lean manufacturing implementation and continuous improvement for precision medical-device production. Responsibilities include designing assembly lines, tooling, fixtures, equipment, inspection checkpoints, and manufacturing processes; evaluating designs for manufacturability; approving design releases and ECOs; maintaining quality-system compliance; resolving supplier and production issues; training personnel; monitoring performance; and driving improvements in safety, quality, output, yield, and cost.

Supports and improves embedded software build infrastructure for robotic surgery systems. Responsibilities include automating infrastructure, administering Windows and Linux build environments, configuring Bazel and CMake builds, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting emake builds, monitoring system health, optimizing scripts, documenting architecture, and providing on-call support.
