InnReg was founded in 2013 by Francesco Matteini, a fintech compliance and operations leader with deep experience building regulatory programs for innovative financial services businesses. Before launching InnReg, Francesco served as Chief Compliance Officer at TradeKing and Zecco, where he helped support the launch, growth, and merger of two digital brokerage platforms that became one of the largest online brokers in the United States. That experience became the foundation of InnReg: a belief that compliance should not sit apart from the business, but work inside it, shaping practical structures, processes, and controls that allow fintech products to operate in highly regulated markets. Rather than building a traditional advisory practice, Francesco set out to create a compliance firm that operates as an extension of the client’s team, not as an outside voice delivering recommendations from a distance. Over the past decade, InnReg has grown into a team of 40+ specialists with experience across regulatory compliance, risk management, operations, and fintech product models. Today, the team supports companies across trading, investing, lending, banking, money transmission, and other regulated financial services verticals.
