Oversee custom automation projects from initiation through completion, managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resources, stakeholders, customers, installations, suppliers, contractors, documentation, and project closeout. Lead customer communications, design reviews, signoffs, buyoffs, issue escalation, and field reporting. Coordinate logistics, warranty support, customer parts, and SR&ED documentation while ensuring compliance with quality procedures and on-time delivery.

Manage supplier sourcing, quotations, purchase orders and supplier performance for machined, welded, and fabricated components. Negotiate commercial terms, assess supplier capacity and delivery risk, expedite orders, support supplier development and continuous improvement, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure project quality, schedule, and cost targets.

Sell RoboTape robotic automation solutions by developing new business, managing full sales cycle, preparing technical proposals, supporting project handoffs, and fostering long-term customer relationships. Support quoting, demonstrations, trade shows, CRM records, and continuous improvement to drive revenue and market expansion.

Design and detail automated systems and tooling using SolidWorks in a PDM workflow. Develop 3D concepts for material handling, assembly automation, fixtures, and robotic cells. Produce drawings, BOMs, and support integration, testing, and commissioning while collaborating with controls, manufacturing, and project teams.

Develop, program, and commission control software for automated equipment (assembly, material handling, robotic cells, vision inspection, safety systems). Collaborate with sales, project management, mechanical and electrical teams; troubleshoot shop-floor automation, backup programs, and support scheduling and budget requirements. Occasional global travel.

Lead and support the electrical design team to deliver industrial automation solutions from concept through validation. Oversee resource planning, ensure safety, quality, and project commitments, mentor designers, and coordinate with Engineering, Controls, and Operations to meet customer requirements and schedules.

Develop automation concepts and process layouts in response to RFQs; prepare cycle time charts, costing, and proposals; validate concepts with cross-functional teams; support customer technical reviews; transfer knowledge to design teams; manage multiple quotations; support life-science/GAMP alignment and occasional travel.
