Build and maintain Ruby-based services and customer-facing trading applications within a distributed architecture. Design reliable, low-latency systems; troubleshoot production issues; write comprehensive tests; contribute to peer reviews; perform light infrastructure work; and translate technical requirements into production-quality code. Engineers work across Ruby, Java, and JavaScript, collaborate on greenfield and existing systems, and provide guidance to junior teammates while developing ownership of the platform.

Build automation in Bash and Python, maintain infrastructure code through Git and peer review, troubleshoot complex system issues, write postmortems and runbooks, and support scalable, reliable systems in a regulated fintech environment.

Processes brokerage account transfers, ACATs, wires, checks, ACH disbursements, IRA distributions, and rollovers. Resolves complex funding issues, coordinates with clearing firms, supports customers and frontline teams, and ensures AML and regulatory compliance. The role also mentors banking support specialists, documents transactions, identifies fraud indicators, reconciles discrepancies, and contributes to process improvements and banking-system testing.

Own the performance, availability, backup, recovery, upgrades, observability, and scaling of high-throughput PostgreSQL clusters across on-premises and Amazon RDS environments. Partner with product and cross-functional teams to scope and deliver features, provide technical leadership and mentorship, conduct high-quality code reviews, establish engineering standards, troubleshoot production issues, evaluate technologies, and participate in on-call operations.

Provide 24/7 trading support and risk monitoring for overnight and weekend US-market activity across futures, options, and 24-hour instruments. Resolve trade disputes, monitor and call out customer risk, troubleshoot platform issues, coordinate incident handoffs, and escalate to margin, risk, compliance, banking, or engineering teams as needed. Partner with engineering, security, compliance, and leadership to prioritize platform improvements, evaluate tooling and vendors, improve deployment workflows, and measure reliability, incident frequency, recovery time, cost, and engineering velocity. The role requires strong technical depth, product management experience, and comfort operating in a regulated fintech environment.

Owner of trading operations and regulatory compliance between trading platforms and NFA/CFTC obligations. Monitor platforms, triage incidents, draft regulatory reports, manage capital charge oversight, payment rails, reconciliations, and operational runbooks. Support audits, margin compliance, MT4-to-MT5 migration, process improvements, and reporting to leadership.

Provide weekend and overnight customer support via phone, chat, and email for account management, funding/withdrawals, trade inquiries, and risk monitoring. Document interactions in Salesforce, triage urgent issues, escalate to licensed staff or teams, complete sponsored FINRA licensing, and contribute to shift handoffs and process improvements.

Own design for complex trading features across web, desktop, and mobile. Lead discovery, user research, and A/B experiments. Collaborate with PMs and engineers, drive product direction, mentor designers, and connect design work to business metrics like conversion, retention, and engagement.
