Lead the platform layer of flight software across RTOS and real-time embedded Linux. Own RTOS integration, OS abstraction, scheduling, timing, health and fault detection, memory partitioning, lifecycle management, instrumentation, and component frameworks. Establish architecture, resource budgets, safety-oriented processes, CI controls, and technical documentation while guiding other engineers. The role supports SIL/HIL testing and flight applications for autonomous aerospace and defense systems.

Writes, tests, debugs, and documents embedded C and C++ software for flight systems. Develops device drivers, communication interfaces, sensor and payload interfaces, power-management firmware, and test tools. Supports board bring-up, unit testing, code reviews, hardware debugging, HIL testing, system integration, and field trials. Uses Python for testing and data logs, Git for version control, and works with senior engineers across the full software-to-flight lifecycle.

Develops Linux mission-computer middleware and communications with flight computers for autonomous aerospace systems. Responsibilities include process management, IPC middleware integration, real-time scheduling, transport protocols, message security, sandboxing, time synchronization, health monitoring, logging, and SIL/HIL testing. The role requires modern C++, embedded Linux, networking, real-time Linux, security controls, debugging, and middleware experience.

Owns sourcing and supply strategy for electronic, electrical, RF, sensor, PCB, harness, and battery commodities from design through production. Responsibilities include component selection, supplier qualification and development, RFQs and negotiations, lifecycle and obsolescence management, export-control documentation, quality and traceability, engineering-change coordination, supplier performance, inventory planning, and bid support. The role also mentors supply chain engineers and supports indigenous sourcing initiatives.

Leads mechanical product design from system requirements through CAD, calculations, drawings, manufacturing, qualification, production release, delivery, and field support. Owns mechanical architecture, design reviews, GD&T, tolerance analysis, CAE direction, DFM/DFA, configuration management, vendor coordination, testing, failure investigations, and customer technical reviews. Leads and mentors the mechanical engineering team while ensuring low-cost, production-ready designs for defense hardware.
