Lead development and management of technical policies, standards, specifications, and training for the distribution system. Supervise engineering and technical staff, provide technical guidance for design and construction, ensure compliance with codes and Ontario Regulation 22/04, support audits, conduct technical studies and failure analyses, deliver training, develop Engineers in Training, and lead projects and financial/business case analysis.

Design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs and digital learning experiences. Conduct needs analysis with SMEs, create learning objectives, storyboards, e-learning modules, job aids and assessments, manage external partners and maintain training materials. Recommend improvements and ensure compliance with safety, legislative and regulatory requirements.

Develop, maintain, and administer technical standards, specifications, procedures, and training for the distribution system. Review and approve technical deviations and complex project designs, provide technical guidance to internal teams and external committees, investigate equipment failures, inspect field installations, support safety and regulatory programs, represent the utility on industry committees, and lead special projects and training related to distribution system standards.

Provide executive-level administrative support to the EVP Finance/CFO: manage calendars, correspondence, meetings, travel and procurement; maintain confidential records; prepare reports and Board materials; process purchase requisitions and invoices; act as recording secretary; support divisional policies and special projects.

Design, automate, and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure and integrations. Monitor threats, develop automated playbooks, perform incident response and digital forensics, enforce IAM/IdP/SSO policies, manage certificates, and support security compliance across corporate systems.

Drive continuous improvement of distribution system reliability by analyzing outage and equipment performance data, conducting root cause investigations, supporting field operations during incidents, developing financial justifications for reliability projects, managing governance and reporting, and mentoring staff to implement practical, regulatory-compliant mitigation strategies and standards.

Lead and manage major distribution and substation capital projects from scoping to closeout. Coordinate consultants, vendors, and stakeholders; develop estimates, schedules, budgets, and procurement specifications; track financials and risks; support AMI, DER, and system integration initiatives; contribute to engineering standards and represent Hydro Ottawa externally.
