Conduct regional desk research and monitor political, legal, and human rights developments across Europe and Central Asia. Draft research, advocacy materials, and briefings; support outreach to officials, diplomats, journalists, and civil society organizations; attend meetings and events; contribute to rapid-response research and related divisional assignments.

Supports fundraising, outreach, events, communications, donor research, gift tracking, database maintenance, and administrative coordination for Human Rights Watch’s Sweden operations. Responsibilities include creating newsletters and social media content, maintaining Instagram and LinkedIn accounts, coordinating events, reconciling revenue, scheduling meetings, handling inquiries, translating and proofreading documents, arranging travel, and supporting interns and staff recruitment. The role requires English and Swedish fluency, office-based work in Stockholm, and valid Swedish or EU work authorization.
