Hivos

Hivos is a human rights and social justice organization driven by humanist values. Founded in 1968 in the Netherlands, it works with citizens, organizations, and movements across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East to defend and expand civil and political rights and build just, inclusive, and life-sustaining societies. Hivos strengthens and resources civil society actors, NGOs, independent media, and human rights defenders, and acts as an impact investor through funds focused on sustainable food, renewable energy, and creative industries.
