Manage engineering delivery for a high-speed rail infrastructure programme, assuring route and asset designs meet technical, sponsor, and safety requirements. Lead design reviews, resolve technical issues, manage professional services contracts, coordinate interfaces with Network Rail, support reporting and stakeholder engagement, and oversee a team of Project Engineers. Ensure delivery is safe, affordable, high quality, on time, and within budget while promoting collaboration, inclusion, and personnel development.

Leads Project Controls systems and tools, ensuring effective operation, secure access, data integrity, system integration, governance, and consistent processes. Owns system management plans, performance measurement cycles, change control, requirements rollout, user support, training, reporting capability, supplier data capture, and system budgets. Coordinates with IT and stakeholders, manages defects and feature requests, and leads teams supporting major, externally scrutinized programmes.

Provides commercial and contracts legal advice across HS2, including complex construction and corporate procurements, GDPR and data protection, procurement law, contractual disputes, and external legal support. The role drafts contracts, templates, reports, and training materials; advises senior stakeholders; manages legal budgets and suppliers; supports Phase 2a procurements; and supervises junior lawyers when required.

Provides senior engineering support for the Old Oak Common station project, coordinating technical assurance, design acceptance, commissioning, interfaces, configuration management, risk, and system integration. Supports NEC3 Supervisor and Principal Designer Representative duties, ensures compliance with railway standards, construction regulations, and sponsor requirements, and guides engineering solutions across interfacing contracts. The role also manages engineering issues, changes, technical risks, and stakeholder coordination throughout design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Leads engineering technical assurance for the Old Oak Common project, reviewing design and construction compliance with HS2 requirements, standards, and contractual obligations. Acts as NEC3 Supervisor and Principal Designer representative, manages engineering requirements, supports risk mitigation and reporting, coordinates technical integration across contracts, and provides discipline-specific technical leadership. Collaborates with commercial, project, engineering, environmental, and contractor teams to deliver safe, compliant, cost-effective, and integrated infrastructure solutions.

Supports HS2’s system-level performance, reliability, availability and maintainability requirements across the railway lifecycle. Responsibilities include defining multidisciplinary requirements, coordinating interfaces and technical solutions, disaggregating obligations into delivery contracts, tracking progress through system-level reviews, and supporting testing, commissioning and in-service reliability analysis using DRACAS and FRACAS. The role works with engineering, operations, maintenance and safety specialists and requires knowledge of UK construction regulations, safety methods, standards and engineering project delivery.

Provides senior technical and professional support for mechanical and electrical engineering across HS2. Develops standards, specifications, and requirements; assures M&E design and construction compliance; manages interfaces with infrastructure partners and utilities; advises stakeholders; resolves engineering issues; and promotes best-practice, safety, environmental, and EDI objectives across major infrastructure programmes.

Provides technical assurance and approval for complex temporary works across HS2 infrastructure projects. The role manages risk, design reviews, contractor interfaces, temporary works registers, technical approvals, competency checks, audits, reporting, and compliance with BS5975, PAS 8811, CDM, and related standards. It also provides engineering guidance, monitors contract interfaces, supports cost and schedule impact assessments, contributes to training, and disseminates lessons learned.

Leads legal advice on high-value procurement, commercial contracts, contract administration, claims, disputes, insurance, UK GDPR, TUPE, and freedom of information. Advises senior stakeholders, negotiates complex terms, manages external legal firms and budgets, supports board reporting, and improves legal processes, training, templates, and systems within a major rail infrastructure organization.

Manage and coordinate technical change and configuration management across rail infrastructure contracts. Govern changes to requirements and technical baselines, coordinate verification and validation, maintain Technical Change Communication registers, support assurance reporting, and manage interface documentation. The role requires stakeholder engagement across contractors and delivery teams, facilitation of governance forums, risk and impact assessment, and continuous improvement of technical change processes.

Manage HS2 supplier construction contracts as the NEC3 Project Manager, supporting Senior Project Managers and the Integrated Project Team. Responsibilities include contract and supplier performance management, programme schedule review, risk mitigation, CDM duties, third-party works coordination, and delivery within budget, time, and quality requirements. The role requires buildings, fit-out, and mechanical and electrical experience, project lifecycle knowledge, stakeholder management, negotiation, and understanding of project schedules, risks, and contract structures.

Provides commercial and contracts legal advice across HS2 directorates, including procurement, construction, funding, corporate, intellectual property, finance, and technology matters. Drafts complex legal documents, advises on statutory and contractual issues, supports dispute resolution, and manages external legal advisers, budgets, timelines, and quality. Prepares reports for senior management and collaborates with government departments, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams while promoting compliance, integrity, and inclusion.

Manage NEC3 supplier and construction contracts on behalf of the project client and senior project managers. Oversee contract performance, programme schedules, risks, costs, quality, and delivery across the project lifecycle. Support CDM responsibilities, resolve emergent issues, coordinate HS2 and supply chain stakeholders, and foster collaborative partnerships. The role also requires applying project management, analysis, negotiation, decision-making, and relationship-building skills within an integrated project team.

Provides commercial, contracts, procurement, construction, corporate, data protection, and technology legal advice to HS2. Drafts contracts, templates, reports, and legal updates; supports major procurements and resolves contractual disputes. Manages external legal advisers, budgets, and timelines; delivers legal training and surgeries; advises senior leadership and government stakeholders; and may supervise junior lawyers. Requires qualified solicitor or barrister with commercial contracts, procurement, construction, infrastructure, or public-sector legal experience.

Leads multidisciplinary teams delivering station construction work packages for HS2. Responsibilities include NEC3 contract and design management, schedule and performance monitoring, risk mitigation, stakeholder and supply-chain coordination, CDM duties, testing and commissioning, and supporting delivery within budget, time, and quality requirements. The role also supports Project Directors, manages Project Managers, resolves integration issues, and promotes collaborative, inclusive delivery across integrated project teams.

Provides operational support, administration, configuration, training, and user assistance for procurement and eSourcing systems. Supports procurement teams with tender evaluation, Oracle ERP usage, reporting, governance, compliance, and supplier system escalations. The role works across Procurement, Commercial, IT, government stakeholders, and software providers to maintain effective systems and support regulated, high-value contract delivery.

Supports programme and corporate reporting across major infrastructure programmes. Responsibilities include analysing qualitative and quantitative data, identifying trends and insights, aggregating performance data against baselines and forecasts, assuring report quality, coordinating timely information submission, maintaining consistent reporting processes, and developing automated solutions to improve reporting and decision-making.

Supports cost and estimating leadership across HS2 programmes and contracts. Responsibilities include managing budgets, actual costs, forecasts, cost variance analysis, Earned Value Management, Estimate at Completion reporting, and validation of delivery-team cost data. The role provides cost-performance advice, maintains governance and documentation, supports stakeholder reporting, and drives continuous improvement. Advanced Excel, project-controls knowledge, and experience with cost-management systems such as Prism or Ecosys are required.
