Responsibilities include writing firmware, creating unit and hardware-in-the-loop tests, automating test execution, performing hardware bring-up, debugging with lab tools, improving build and development tooling, documenting work, and participating in code reviews alongside firmware and hardware engineers.

Lead strategic sourcing and supplier development for industrial enclosures, fabricated metal components, and mechanical assemblies. Own category strategy, supplier selection, cost modeling, negotiations, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp support. Partner with engineering, manufacturing, NPI, finance, and supply chain teams to build a resilient supply base. Manage supplier risks involving cost, quality, capacity, logistics, and geopolitical exposure while resolving performance issues and driving corrective actions.

Lead global sourcing and supplier management for PCB fabrication, PCBA manufacturing, and electronics manufacturing services. Develop category strategies, negotiate pricing and contracts, perform should-cost and BOM analysis, qualify suppliers, and drive readiness from prototypes through mass production. Partner with engineering, manufacturing, finance, NPI, and supply chain teams to manage cost, quality, capacity, component availability, geopolitical exposure, and supplier performance.

Build and operate scalable Connected Systems software for grid-connected energy systems. Responsibilities include backend services, telemetry pipelines, data platforms, diagnostics, fleet management, remote troubleshooting, asset lifecycle tracking, APIs, event-driven services, and secure firmware updates. Collaborate with embedded, hardware, manufacturing, test, frontend, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable production systems, observability, dashboards, and operational workflows.

Intern will model power converters, design and capture controllers in Matlab/Simulink, translate algorithms to embedded C, validate via HiL and prototype bring-up, perform small-signal modeling and dynamic stress tests, review schematics, and support production and fleet performance improvements.

Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities, define customer-specific power electronics solutions, lead technical customer interactions, develop site-specific system designs, prepare proposals and RFP/RFI responses, and communicate customer feedback to Engineering and Product. The role also establishes scalable sales engineering tools, templates, and processes for Heron Power’s energy storage and grid-interconnection offerings.

Supports the development of Heron Power's visual identity across graphics, layouts, typography, environmental graphics, apparel, packaging, presentations, events, technical diagrams, and company communications. Collaborates with leadership, vendors, fabricators, and multidisciplinary teams to create physical and digital brand materials. Builds templates and visual systems while translating complex engineering and energy concepts into clear, compelling designs.

Build and operate medium-voltage test benches for insulation systems in power electronics. Conduct dielectric strength, insulation resistance, dielectric loss, partial discharge, and accelerated aging tests. Analyze degradation trends, document failure modes, support post-failure materials inspection, and develop data workflows and visualizations. Maintain test fixtures, safety procedures, calibration records, and sample documentation while partnering with design and materials engineers on corrective actions.

Develop and deploy production test systems, fixtures, and instrumentation for PCBAs, subsystems, and products. Support DFM/DFT, validation, EOL testing, board bring-up, root-cause debugging, yield improvement, and production ramps. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and vendors to deliver reliable, maintainable test stations and manufacturing documentation.

Accounting Manager responsible for building and scaling the accounting function at a high-growth technology and manufacturing company. Owns AP, accruals, payroll, AR, revenue, fixed assets, inventory, general ledger, reconciliations, and close activities. Designs scalable accounting processes, systems, controls, and automation while ensuring GAAP-compliant reporting. Partners cross-functionally on capitalization, expenses, inventory, manufacturing activities, and reporting improvements.

Own supplier development and manufacturing readiness for PCB, PCBA, and electronics suppliers. Lead supplier qualification, DFM/DFA reviews, process capability improvement, NPI, production ramp, quality systems, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and cost reduction. Assess and industrialize PCB fabrication, SMT, through-hole, soldering, semiconductor assembly, inspection, testing, and high-power PCBA processes. Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, reliability, and manufacturing teams while supporting supplier partnerships and technical improvements.

Lead multidisciplinary design for power electronics products, with industrial design at the center. Develop physical product architecture, form, materials, interfaces, and production-ready details while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing. Create prototypes, CAD models, renderings, graphics, documentation, digital UX, environmental elements, and brand applications. Independently solve ambiguous problems, establish design systems, advocate for users, and raise design quality across the company.

Support design, validation, and characterization of magnetic components for medium-voltage power converters. Perform lab measurements, build prototypes, run electromagnetic simulations, analyze EMI/EMC, and document results while collaborating with power electronics and layout teams.

Lead reliability-by-design strategy for grid power electronics products from concept through field deployment. Define reliability requirements, mission profiles, accelerated life tests, reliability models, warranty targets, and lifecycle cost objectives. Apply Physics of Failure and Design for Reliability principles, analyze field failures, and partner with electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, quality, product, and commercial teams. Mentor reliability engineers and build a scalable reliability engineering function.
