The Conductor is responsible for train operations, moving freight cars, ensuring safety, communicating via radio, and performing physical tasks related to train handling.

Operate locomotives safely and efficiently within the railyard, performing pre/post-trip inspections, following FRA regulations and signals, coordinating with yard personnel and dispatch, reporting mechanical issues, handling hazardous materials per guidelines, and maintaining operation records.

Perform pre-trip inspections of railcars, identify and report defects, verify safety compliance, document inspection/repair records, coordinate with maintenance, maintain tools and a safe, organized work area.
