Coordinates production, logistics, inventory, packaging, and shipping activities across internal teams and third-party grading partners. Tracks orders, inventories, freight appointments, customer purchase orders, ASNs, and partner performance. Produces weekly reports, manages logistics updates, supports packaging transfers, and provides weekend email coverage for production-day issues and delivery changes.

The Controller oversees accounting operations, financial close, reporting, internal controls, audits, tax activities, and compliance. The role specializes in manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure evaluation, and operational financial insights. The Controller partners with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to improve cost visibility, efficiency, financial systems, and scalability while supporting grants, banking structures, and ERP enhancements.

Supervises production employees and shift operations to meet safety, quality, yield, efficiency, timing, and cost goals. Conducts floor inspections, enforces HACCP, USDA, SQF, GMP, sanitation, PPE, and lockout/tagout requirements, and directs equipment setup and adjustments. Coordinates schedules, trains and coaches employees, manages performance, analyzes product yields and variances, and recommends workflow or equipment improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and costs.

Use data and structured problem-solving to analyze plant performance, develop dashboards and reports, support continuous-improvement projects (throughput, yield, downtime, labor), and partner with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain process improvements, safety, and quality in an egg grading/food manufacturing environment.
