Designs and improves mechanical components, fixtures, tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes. Creates CAD models, drawings, CNC programs, and CAM toolpaths; supports machining operations and troubleshoots production issues. Collaborates hands-on with machinists, operators, and manufacturing teams to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and process capability. Supports prototyping, testing, validation, design for manufacturability, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement in a defense manufacturing environment.

Supports high-volume recruiting for hourly manufacturing and production roles through sourcing, outreach, screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, ATS maintenance, and pipeline development. Builds relationships with community organizations, workforce groups, schools, and local partners; represents the company at recruiting events; provides English/Spanish candidate engagement; and assists with employer-branding and talent acquisition projects. The role is fully onsite, includes occasional local travel and evening or weekend events, and operates partly within an active manufacturing facility.

Supports the regulatory compliance program for firearms manufacturing and distribution. Responsibilities include maintaining ATF and NFA compliance, auditing A&D records and serialized inventory, preparing regulatory forms, supporting inspections and investigations, renewing FFL and SOT registrations, identifying risks, implementing corrective actions, monitoring legal changes, conducting training, and maintaining secure compliance documentation.

Ensure manufacturing, distribution, and sales operations comply with firearm regulations. Maintain and audit FFL records and A&D bound books, coordinate ATF inspections and NFA transfers, manage licensing systems, reconcile serialized inventory, and oversee incoming, outgoing, and interdepartmental firearm movements. The role coordinates with manufacturing, shipping, and sales teams and requires accurate record keeping, regulatory knowledge, and physical work in a manufacturing environment.

Develop and implement quality assurance processes for CNC machining and assembly. Operate and program CMMs for dimensional inspection, create inspection and control plans, train staff on GD&T and metrology, lead root cause/CAPA activities, support audits, and collaborate with engineering and operations to drive continuous improvement and compliance with customer and federal/defense requirements.

Maintain accurate financial records by supporting general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, inventory and fixed asset accounting, and accounts payable. Process vendor invoices, prepare financial schedules, assist with audits and compliance, document procedures, and support process improvements and internal stakeholders.

The Manufacturing Engineer will optimize machining processes, design fixtures, improve product manufacturability, and train machine operators.
