Teams at Groundwater Modelling Decision Support Initiative (GMDSI)

Serves as an underwater acoustics subject matter expert supporting airborne and naval anti-submarine warfare systems. Responsibilities include acoustic and post-mission analysis, operator interface and manual development, operational testing, acceptance testing, operator training, test scenario development, requirements support, system integration, customer liaison, demonstrations, and proposal and business development activities. Domestic and international travel is required.

Analyzes underwater acoustic data and post-mission results, designs acoustic-system operator interfaces, leads operational testing and acceptance events, develops training and test scenarios, and supports requirements, proposals, demonstrations, and customer engagement. The role requires Airborne or Naval ASW expertise, passive and active acoustic classification skills, system development knowledge, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally while meeting NATO and Canadian security requirements.

Designs and delivers hardware-focused systems for complex defence and C4I programmes. Responsibilities include requirements capture, interface definition, design analysis, subsystem and cabling specifications, standards application, integration and testing, technical documentation, supplier coordination, and lifecycle support. The role collaborates with safety, security, logistics, and systems integration teams across development, delivery, research, and in-service programmes.
