Provides executive leadership for a community college’s instructional programs, curriculum, scheduling, enrollment management, workforce development, and learning resources. Advises the college president, oversees staff and budgets, supports shared governance, advances equity and student success, ensures regulatory compliance, and collaborates with faculty, staff, students, district leaders, and community partners. The role also participates in strategic planning, curriculum and program review, institutional initiatives, governing board activities, and college administration.

The Associate Dean leads and administers nursing education programs, including curriculum, accreditation, faculty recruitment and supervision, student progression, clinical placement agreements, budgeting, compliance, scheduling, reporting, and community partnerships. The role ensures adherence to California Board of Registered Nursing, NLNAC, Education Code, and district requirements while supporting program quality, student success, and workforce responsiveness.
