Develop and deploy autonomous construction robots across AI-based control, perception, navigation planning, machine controllers, and behavior development. Interns will work at the intersection of robotics hardware and software, contributing to applied autonomy systems for excavators and wheel loaders. Responsibilities may include setting up and deploying software on autonomous systems and collaborating in small, self-directed teams.

Own the embedded Linux platform for autonomous construction machinery, including bootloader, kernel, device tree, root filesystem, hardware bring-up, drivers, OTA updates, CI/CD, recovery, and security hardening. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, autonomy, and perception teams to diagnose field failures and deliver reliable platforms for global machine fleets.

Own end-to-end delivery of complex programs spanning software releases, hardware integration, and field validation. Develop roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and reporting; coordinate cross-functional engineering, field, commercial, and external partner teams; manage software integration testing and staged deployments; resolve blockers; and translate field feedback into engineering actions.

Own and develop networking infrastructure connecting autonomous construction robots across on-machine, worksite, and global cloud layers. Responsibilities include network architecture, component evaluation, testing, deployment, monitoring, field support, customer integrations, network security, Linux routing, and multi-WAN traffic prioritization. The role requires designing reliable, synchronized, low-latency networks for sensor and control data, along with infrastructure-as-code experience.

Lead design, rollout, and operation of platform infrastructure enabling CI/CD, image building, secure OTA updates, and provisioning for embedded Linux fleets. Build IaC frameworks, manage CI pipelines (including ML workloads), collaborate with autonomy/perception teams, and set standards for build and deployment processes to safely deploy software to autonomous construction machines.

Lead end-to-end mechanical design and validation for retrofit sensing/compute hardware and heavy structural end-effectors. Perform FEA-driven design, produce production CAD/drawings, define V&V practices, commission hardware on sites, and improve engineering processes for scale-up.
