Operate as a ferry deck crewmember supporting safe loading/unloading of vehicles and passengers, line handling, docking, lookout and security patrols, emergency response, vessel cleanliness, and compliance with USCG and VDOT regulations.

Monitor contractor performance and QA/QC for ITS and traffic signal assets; inspect and document maintenance/repairs; verify compliance with VDOT specs; support maintenance planning, troubleshooting, invoice review, contract administration, and stakeholder coordination.

Operate, maintain, and repair main engines and auxiliary machinery on ferry vessels to ensure safe, regulatory-compliant operations. Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, recordkeeping, emergency response, security monitoring, crew training, and assist passengers and crew as needed. Maintain documentation for USCG inspections and regulatory compliance.

Administer and maintain the Lane Closure Advisory Management System (LCAMS), monitor and validate lane closure data for Hampton Roads tunnels and bridges, analyze and report operational metrics, ensure VDOT compliance, provide user support and training, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain documentation and work orders.

Lead planning, design, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and lifecycle management of ITS electrical, electronic, communications, and network infrastructure. Supervise multidisciplinary technical teams, manage multiple projects, schedules, budgets, compliance, documentation, training, and stakeholder communications while applying systems engineering practices and recommending operational improvements.
