Teams at Government of Nunavut

Leads public education, visitor services, communications, media relations, and promotional programs for the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut. Develops tours, presentations, releases, and multilingual digital content; coordinates media, websites, publications, procurement, contracts, special events, dignitary visits, and public information initiatives. Serves as an official spokesperson and manages programs including audiovisual services, the Pages Program, and the fine arts and crafts collection.

Leads public-sector procurement services, supervises Procurement Officers, coordinates workloads, reviews and approves solicitation and contract documents, determines procurement methods, and manages complex high-value initiatives. Chairs evaluation committees, ensures fair and compliant processes, advises departments on procurement requirements and policies, maintains supplier relationships, and monitors supplier performance. The role requires public-sector procurement experience, supervisory experience, and PMAC/SCMP professional development.

Develops and implements a Government of Nunavut policy framework for Inuit Societal Values and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit. Conducts cultural and policy research, supports integration of Inuit values into departmental programs and services, collaborates with senior management and government departments, provides administrative support, and mentors advisors. The role requires fluency in Inuktitut, knowledge of Inuit culture and communities, and experience in government work, strategic planning, policy development, program evaluation, research, communications, or related areas.
