Serves as the onsite HR partner for the Fremont manufacturing operation, advising leaders on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, talent management, compliance, and HR operations. Supports growth, organizational change, staffing, performance management, investigations, succession planning, and employee lifecycle processes while partnering with recruiting, shared services, and the broader U.S. HR team.

Provides advanced IT infrastructure and end-user support across two California manufacturing facilities. Supports SYSPRO ERP and business applications, user administration, system upgrades, training, reporting, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and technology projects. Partners with site leadership and global IT to improve processes, automate operations, standardize systems, and maintain business continuity.

Leads the conceptual design, development, integration, and validation of precision optical systems and components. Responsibilities include lens design, optical modeling, Monte Carlo and tolerance analysis, design reviews, technical documentation, test-method development, and performance validation. The role uses Zemax, supports aerospace, defense, scientific, and commercial applications, and provides technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Designs and optimizes thin-film optical coatings for lenses, mirrors, filters, beamsplitters, and prisms. Supports deposition process development, manufacturing transfer, troubleshooting, testing, equipment optimization, quality compliance, and continuous improvement. The role requires hands-on experience with electron-beam deposition, TFCalc, coating characterization, vacuum systems, and optical performance measurement. Serve as the technical liaison between customers, sales, and engineering to define requirements, recommend optical solutions, support design reviews, prototype evaluation, qualification, and production readiness. Provide application support, presentations, documentation, and cross-functional coordination to ensure manufacturable, cost-effective products and drive continuous improvement.

Develop and control manufacturing documentation (SOPs, work instructions, process specs), manage document control and ECOs, support process development, manufacturing readiness, change management, continuous improvement, training, and cross-functional sustaining engineering in a regulated precision-manufacturing environment.

Design, prototype, assemble and test fibre-optic and photonic subsystems (TRL3-7), including high-power optical amplifiers. Develop/execute functional and environmental test plans, perform fibre splicing and opto-electronic assembly, troubleshoot, engage customers, and contribute to technical reviews and reports.

Lead transfer of photonic products from R&D to manufacturing by driving DFM/DFA/DFX, process qualification, pilot runs, tooling and test development, and cross-functional readiness reviews. Analyze yield and quality data, manage engineering changes and BOMs, and run continuous improvement and sustaining engineering to improve manufacturability, reliability, and cost.

The Senior Production Planner develops production schedules, coordinates materials and capacity, partners with operations, and ensures effective inventory control, while tracking performance metrics and improving production processes.

The Optical Design Engineer will collaborate with Design Engineers to develop Acousto- and Electro-Optic Products, focusing on prototype build and characterization while evolving into product design over time.

The role involves managing global compensation and benefits programs while providing HR site leadership. Responsibilities include designing compensation structures, compliance, employee support, and engagement initiatives.
