Own the full sales lifecycle for Mid-Market and Enterprise school district accounts. Responsibilities include territory planning, strategic prospecting, consultative discovery, executive relationship building, multi-threaded account strategies, business-case development, pipeline forecasting, procurement and RFP navigation, negotiation, and closing new business. The role requires cross-functional collaboration, CRM management, and travel up to 30% within an assigned territory.

Provides optional coverage shifts for Safety Support Specialists, reviewing student safety alerts and escalating concerns to school administrators. Handles support tickets and phone calls, identifies sensitive issues and trends, follows established protocols, contributes to training and knowledge resources, and supports team projects and technical support needs. Requires calm judgment, emotional intelligence, flexibility, reliable independent work, and customer-facing support experience.

Build and operate full-stack features for Pear Deck Learning, including React and TypeScript frontends, Node.js and Go backend services, APIs, real-time classroom workflows, data systems, AI integrations, and cloud infrastructure. Improve scalability, performance, reliability, testing, observability, and legacy systems. Collaborate with distributed US and India teams, participate in on-call support, review architecture and code, and mentor engineers.

Lead architecture and implementation of new school safety products from concept through production. Design scalable, secure, resilient distributed systems and integration-heavy platforms involving APIs, identity systems, hardware, and external data sources. Drive technical strategy, mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering leaders to deliver reliable 0-to-1 products for schools.

Designs and optimizes ETL pipelines supporting analytics, data science, and machine learning. Builds labeling, retraining, MLOps, model monitoring, and production inference workflows. Contributes to lakehouse architecture, data modeling, governance, lineage, and quality. Uses infrastructure as code and containerization to create reproducible environments, collaborates with data scientists and BI teams, participates in code reviews, and improves engineering practices.

Lead product direction for one or more early-stage education products: run pilots and beta programs, prioritize roadmap using data and customer signal, ship rapidly with engineering and design, define success metrics, and partner with go-to-market to scale validated concepts.

Build and improve GoGuardian’s Pear Assessment platform across the full stack. Responsibilities include developing TypeScript and Node.js backend services, React interfaces, OpenSearch semantic search, scalable data pipelines, AWS cloud-native systems, MongoDB data models, and real-time classroom integrations. The role involves optimizing performance, reliability, and analytics, integrating AI services, collaborating cross-functionally, participating in architecture and code reviews, and maintaining strong testing and engineering standards.

Build and maintain the GG App across Windows, macOS, and iOS including installers, background services, auto-update systems, enterprise deployment paths, health reporting, AWS backend, and documentation. Lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, participate in on-call support, and champion AI adoption and automation across engineering.

Lead end-to-end UX for a single product: define strategy, interaction and visual design, conduct and synthesize user research (qualitative and quantitative), collaborate with PMs and engineers from discovery through implementation, make UX decisions, and help build a strong design culture.

The Staff Software Engineer will build and maintain GoGuardian's Safety product suite, lead architectural decisions, mentor developers, and champion AI adoption in engineering workflows.
