Owns the reliability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of a large-scale monitoring and data platform. Responsibilities include operating data pipelines, implementing observability and deterministic alerting, responding to incidents, conducting root-cause analyses and postmortems, supporting disaster recovery, improving infrastructure workflows, deploying infrastructure as code, planning capacity, and mentoring engineers.

Provides advanced technical and project support for satellite gateway systems, focusing on incident response, troubleshooting, repairs, system performance analysis, operational testing, and network uptime. The role analyzes operational data, validates system requirements, develops optimization processes, resolves technical tickets, maintains documentation, supports operations personnel, and trains team members. It also requires cross-functional collaboration, on-call participation, and domestic and international travel.

Manages and maintains a satellite earth station and its gateway systems, including technical operations, preventative maintenance, documentation, inventory, budgeting, purchasing, and resource planning. Supervises employees, coordinates with service providers and engineering teams, provides hands-on technical support, manages system performance and costs, and supports 24/7 network operations. The role requires telecommunications, RF, networking, electrical, mechanical, and computer systems expertise, along with flexibility for travel, shifts, on-call work, and physically demanding tasks.

Manages Globalstar’s U.S. and international regulatory activities, including FCC and ITU matters, spectrum and orbital filings, export-control compliance, agency liaison, licensing, regulatory briefings, and consultant coordination. Supports business expansion by assessing regulatory feasibility across North America, Europe, and Asia. Maintains license databases and deadlines, prepares filings, and represents the company in regulatory meetings.

Lead systems engineering for new LEO satellite development and post-launch operations. Validate vendor designs, perform antenna pattern and digital beamforming analyses, assess payload impacts on power/thermal and system capacity, and support cross-functional vendor integration and operations.

The Gateway Quality Analyst Specialist monitors performance, enforces compliance standards, and transforms data into actionable insights, enhancing operational excellence.

Lead software engineering for high-throughput 5G NR wireless systems. Architect, design, develop, and code major PHY and L1 system features; mentor software engineers; improve development processes; collaborate with cross-functional engineering, systems design, and test teams; and integrate and validate 3GPP wireless technology concepts.

Lead design, management, testing, and real-time support of LEO satellite data handling subsystems. Develop and maintain operations procedures, scripts, and tools; perform telemetry monitoring, anomaly detection, recovery, and commanding. Support onboard algorithm development and troubleshooting; ensure satellite safety and operational readiness.
