The Human Resources Manager will lead HR operations in Malawi, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compensation benchmarking, performance management, employee relations, compliance with local labor law, professional development, benefits administration, record-keeping, and staff engagement. The role partners strategically with the Country Director, improves and automates HR systems, safeguards organizational culture, supports managers, and ensures accurate, compliant, and employee-centered people practices.

Own global People Operations across payroll, employee lifecycle, HRIS data, ticketing, compensation, benefits, mobility, and reporting. Lead a team of three, establish operating controls and service standards, manage multi-country payroll providers, maintain compliance, improve workflows, and deliver accurate people data and total rewards operations across more than 20 countries.

Leads internal audit and risk management across a portfolio of countries, focusing on fraud prevention, detection, mitigation, and investigation. Designs project risk controls, monitors KPIs and risk registers, conducts field spot checks, manages high-risk investigations, and coordinates with country teams, safeguarding, programs, technology teams, and external partners. Directly manages Internal Audit Managers, supports hiring and performance management, develops fraud intelligence capabilities, produces leadership reports, and conducts annual country field visits.
