Teams at GiveDirectly

Supports rapid A/B testing across GiveDirectly programs by designing experiments, conducting power calculations, preparing high-quality datasets, analyzing results, and translating findings into actionable recommendations. The role coordinates with Programs, Product, Research teams, and external academic partners, manages multiple concurrent experiments, prepares learning products and de-identified datasets, and helps apply evidence across country programs. The position is remote from Rwanda with regular East Africa travel.

Own technical delivery for program launches, including requirements, system configuration, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, data analysis, training, and retrospectives. Collaborate across Operations, Product, Research, Engineering, and Data teams to improve systems, ensure privacy and financial controls, and support technology-enabled cash delivery programs.

Develop and standardize analytical methods for inferring residence, displacement, and poverty from mobile network operator data. Assess data quality, write technical specifications and tests, guide operator engineering teams, tune statistical methods, and balance accuracy with implementation constraints. Design privacy-preserving analyses, improve data security practices, train internal teams, and support international workshops and emergency-response programs.
