General RV Center and its family of companies, which includes America's Choice Insurance Partners and Salem Distributors, are a large multi-state employer founded in 1962 in the heart of the Motor City. General RV has become the nation's largest family-owned RV Dealer, and what started as a small ‘mom and pop’ operation has since grown to 14 locations in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Florida, Utah, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Additionally, General RV also has a globally recognized eCommerce division that reaches clients throughout the world. In 2001, General RV reached new heights when Statistical Surveys, Inc. announced that General RV had become the largest volume RV dealer in the country. Since 2014, General RV Center has been named by Crain's Detroit as one of Michigan's largest and fastest-growing privately held companies.
