This is an exempt, on-site position with occasional travel, flexible scheduling, physical activity, and potential on-site housing.

The Controller oversees accounting operations, payroll, reconciliations, month-end close, restricted fund accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, audits, budgeting, grants, and internal controls. The role supervises assigned staff, supports the Treasurer and stewardship committees, advises local churches on accounting practices, and helps maintain transparent, accurate financial management across the Conference.

The CFO also serves as Conference Treasurer, Benefits Officer, Statistician, and Trustee Treasurer while communicating financial information to diverse stakeholders.

Leads the Georgia United Methodist Foundation’s strategy, growth, financial stewardship, fundraising, stakeholder relationships, and organizational culture. The CEO serves as the Foundation’s primary representative, builds relationships with Methodist and Wesleyan communities, expands loans, investments, endowment services, and philanthropic giving, and reports to the Board of Trustees. The role requires strong business and financial management, executive leadership, communication, innovation, and knowledge of faith-based organizations and Methodist structures.
