Prosecute felony vehicular crimes (e.g., intoxication manslaughter, assault with a deadly weapon), supervise and train subordinate prosecutors, coordinate with law enforcement, interview victims and witnesses, negotiate pleas, prepare contested matters and jury trials, and represent the State in District and County Courts.

Represent the State of Texas in felony criminal proceedings in Galveston County. Evaluate cases, interview victims and witnesses, consult with law enforcement, negotiate with defense, prepare contested matters including jury trials, present evidence, and develop advocacy skills through mentoring and training.

Represent the State in appellate matters including direct appeals, post-conviction writs, and Chapter 64 DNA litigation. Prepare briefs, petitions, motions, and filings; conduct legal research; represent at appeals courts and hearings; advise trial attorneys and executive staff; provide training and handle expunction/nondisclosure motions.

Manage and oversee the county's business application environment, lead application lifecycle activities, supervise technical staff, coordinate integrations and vendors, ensure security/compliance, and drive modernization and support processes across departments.

Lead configuration, integration, tuning, and optimization of enterprise security platforms across endpoint, network, email, cloud, and identity. Perform advanced incident analysis and containment, drive post-incident hardening, manage telemetry/logging and vulnerability scanning, support penetration testing, recommend platform improvements, maintain security architecture documentation, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Protect County sites, data centers, and infrastructure by administering physical and cyber security technologies, performing audits and risk assessments, supporting incident remediation, ensuring CJIS/FIPS compliance, testing network controls, and delivering end-user security training.

Prosecute felony cases: prepare cases for trial, interview witnesses, gather evidence, draft indictments and motions, represent the state in hearings and jury trials, advise law enforcement, handle felony dockets, and manage discovery and case documentation.

Prosecute misdemeanor (Class A and B) cases: prepare trials, interview witnesses, gather evidence, draft motions and complaints, represent the state in court, negotiate dispositions, handle probation revocations, and advise law enforcement. Maintain case files and coordinate with supervision officers.

The Microsoft 365 Administrator designs and manages Microsoft 365 environments, administers collaboration applications, implements security measures, and provides support for enterprise needs.

Design, implement, secure and maintain the County's enterprise network and communications including LAN/WAN, data center fabrics, SD-WAN, VoIP, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, routing, and cabling. Serve as a technical architect, troubleshoot complex issues, manage vendor/carrier relationships, document network diagrams, support disaster recovery/business continuity, and participate in budgeting and technology evaluations.

Manage IT Public Safety technology services, supervise staff, coordinate support for public safety systems, and ensure compliance with security regulations.

Provide custody, supervision, mentorship, and discipline for juveniles (ages ~10–16). Enforce rules, conduct orientations, lead therapeutic and recreational activities, prepare daily reports, intervene in crises, and maintain certifications (CPR, First Aid, physical restraint).

Performs park maintenance and facility upkeep, including trash pickup, cleaning restrooms, grills, playgrounds, and indoor floors. Assists patrons with reservations and manages check-in/check-out for rental facilities. Works outdoors and performs related duties as assigned.
