The Assurance Associate supports audit engagements across multiple industries, performing audit planning, balance sheet and income statement testing, reporting procedures, and ad hoc projects. The role involves collaborating with senior team members and clients, communicating findings, incorporating feedback, building professional relationships, and traveling to client sites. Candidates must have an undergraduate accounting degree, 150 credit hours for CPA eligibility, strong Microsoft Office skills, reliable transportation, and a valid driver’s license.

Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion. Supervise, train, and mentor audit staff; perform accounting research; identify client issues and recommend process improvements; maintain client relationships; participate in business development, recruiting, and training activities.

Leads HITRUST CSF assessments, including planning, scoping, control testing, evidence review, gap analysis, remediation validation, and reporting. Manages client interactions, walkthroughs, stakeholder communications, and audit recommendations. Reviews junior team members’ work, provides coaching, supports engagement planning and resource coordination, improves methodologies, and contributes to business development.
