Perform accounting and budget functions across purchasing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, budget and general ledger tasks. Duties include journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, cash receipt processing, year-end closing, payroll review, vendor coding review, training staff, and responding to auditors. Position requires travel to district sites and background clearances.

Manage fiscal services including accounting, budgeting, payroll, and food service functions. Prepare and analyze budgets and financial reports, support audits and year-end close, ensure compliance with local/state/federal and school accounting rules, and supervise/train Business Office staff while coordinating with HR and school administrators.

Assist the principal in daily school operations, safety and discipline, staff supervision and hiring, student support and crisis management, community engagement, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

Provide high-quality ELA instruction aligned to California standards for middle school students, use assessment data to tailor instruction, foster positive classroom culture, collaborate with colleagues and families, support at-risk students, participate in professional development, and uphold Fortune School instructional practices.

Provide special education instruction and case management: develop/maintain IEPs, conduct IEP meetings, progress monitoring and reporting, adapt lessons, collaborate with families and agencies, direct aides, manage behavior, and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.

Teach 3rd/4th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies with standards-aligned lessons, use assessment data to guide instruction, support diverse learners, engage families, collaborate with colleagues, maintain student records, participate in professional development, and uphold the school mission and core values.

Provide high-quality, standards-aligned instruction for third grade students; use assessment data to refine teaching; foster a positive classroom culture; collaborate with colleagues and families; identify and support at-risk students and coordinate with community resources; participate in professional development and take on school leadership opportunities.

Teach sixth-grade math and science in a small-school environment aligned to California State Standards. Develop lessons, assess and differentiate instruction, manage classroom behavior, communicate with families, collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, maintain records, and support school mission and values.

Lead after-school enrichment for TK-8 scholars Monday–Friday 2–6pm. Plan and run safe, engaging activities (arts, movement, STEM), supervise transitions/snack/dismissal, track attendance in Procare, support social-emotional growth, maintain classroom standards, communicate with parents and staff, and participate in meetings and trainings.

Fortune School is hiring classified substitutes for day and afterschool assignments (instructional aide, SPED aide, food service aide, behavior technician, custodian, excursion/afterschool support). Shifts vary; interviews occur in July and orientation in August before assignments start on August 17, 2026.

Lead day-to-day operations of the after-school Excursions program for TK-8, supervise staff and volunteers, ensure student safety and compliance, design and evaluate enrichment activities, engage families and community partners, manage attendance, records, supplies, and site budget, and model restorative and positive behavior practices.

Teach middle school humanities in a small-school setting, develop standards-aligned lessons, assess and differentiate instruction, manage behavior, engage families, collaborate with staff, maintain records, and support school mission and professional development.

Provide hands-on classroom support for kindergarten students: tutor individually and in small groups in reading and basic math, assist students with disabilities and English learners, prepare lesson materials, observe and record progress, supervise activities, and implement teacher-directed instruction under teacher guidance.

Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with learning disabilities; implement teacher lesson plans and prescribed interventions; supervise students; record and graph instructional and behavioral data; communicate with teachers, education specialists, and parents; complete logs and incident reports; maintain confidentiality and required clearances.
