Own the integrated software product baseline and release cadence across autonomy software, communications, data platforms, edge hardware, and firmware. Define release criteria, make inclusion decisions, manage dependencies, maintain configuration documentation, measure release health, align cross-functional teams, communicate risks, and ensure products meet customer and field requirements.

Own product positioning, messaging, launches, content, competitive intelligence, and sales enablement for Forterra’s autonomous mission systems. Translate complex capabilities across mobility, communications, compute, and sensing into compelling materials for defense decision-makers, program offices, and industry partners. Partner with engineering, marketing, growth, and business development teams to develop proof points, support demos and events, and shape product strategy.

Leads Forterra’s government contracts function, including acquisition strategy, contract structuring, negotiations, award administration, compliance, data rights, intellectual property, and subcontracting. Advises business development, proposal, engineering, finance, legal, and program teams; manages government and industry relationships; and builds scalable contracts processes. The role requires expertise in FAR, DFARS, federal acquisition, and alternative contracting instruments, plus eligibility for a U.S. security clearance.

Creates visual assets for digital, print, events, campaigns, advertising, recruiting, and internal communications. Develops campaign identities, illustrations, infographics, templates, and scalable brand systems while translating complex technical concepts into compelling visual stories. Partners with marketing, communications, product, engineering, and leadership teams; prepares production-ready assets; manages multiple projects; and coordinates with external creative and production vendors.

Own vehicle systems architecture, requirements, integration, and testing across mechanical, electrical, and software domains. Integrate COTS and custom actuation and sensing systems, troubleshoot vehicle and lab issues, develop test plans, analyze telemetry with scripts, and create safety engineering artifacts. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while interpreting schematics, CAD models, software, and interface documentation.

Design, integrate, deploy, and validate payload software on autonomous ground-vehicle platforms. Collaborate with users, product managers, researchers, and engineering teams to deliver autonomy behaviors and mission capabilities. Optimize sensing, compute, controls, and other subsystems; analyze tests, diagnose root causes, and resolve issues through deployment. Translate customer requirements into production-quality software while supporting real-world national security missions.

Provides hands-on technical support for autonomous hardware and software systems in customer and operational field environments. Diagnoses networking, software, and system integration issues; performs log analysis, root-cause investigations, installations, upgrades, and configuration changes. Supports Linux command-line operations, scripting, software updates, and field deployments while documenting service activities and communicating with customers and engineering teams. Requires frequent international travel and may involve extended deployments in active combat zones.

Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for defense autonomy solutions, cultivate relationships with defense commands and program offices, convert pilot programs into sustained deployments, coordinate cross-functional teams, expand market presence, and build new business lines and teams.

Own Forterra’s product security program across autonomous vehicle platforms, including security strategy, governance, DoD ATO and IATT lifecycles, STIG compliance, threat modeling, SBOM and vulnerability management, incident response, and security requirements. Lead product security engineers and cross-functional contributors, brief executives and government stakeholders, support bids and customer evaluations, and build a security-focused engineering culture.

Manages the full-cycle accounts payable process, including vendor invoices, employee travel and expense reports, corporate credit card reconciliations, payment inquiries, audit-ready documentation, internal controls, and month-end close support. The role reviews transactions for accuracy and policy compliance, maintains clear audit trails, prepares audit materials, and supports reconciliations, accruals, and variance explanations.

Owns product security for DoD autonomous systems, including end-to-end RMF and ATO execution, security architecture, requirements, threat modeling, STIG applicability, vulnerability management, monitoring, secure updates, SBOMs, and secure SDLC practices. Acts as the security subject-matter expert for engineering teams and government cyber or program offices, securing embedded hardware, software, air-gapped systems, and command-and-control platforms through authorization.

Owns requirements, functional architecture, traceability, safety integration, and technical change-impact analysis for an autonomous yard truck program. Coordinates software, hardware, autonomy, controls, vehicle, safety, integration, and test teams; ensures requirements are implementable and verifiable. The role also matures systems engineering processes, evaluates AI-assisted engineering tools, leads cross-functional technical reviews, and mentors systems engineers.

Designs and owns vehicle-level test strategies for autonomous vehicle features and safety-critical functions. Translates requirements into test plans, executes testing across simulation, hardware-in-the-loop benches, and live vehicles, analyzes failures, automates checks, and communicates system risk and readiness. Partners with systems, software, hardware, and safety teams on verification and validation strategy, testability, and program milestones.

Own end-to-end command-and-control software integration across autonomous vehicle systems, middleware, networks, and operator control units. Define message contracts, bridge autonomy and middleware, support legacy and next-generation interfaces, deploy software to customer hardware, and debug field issues across constrained networks. Translate program needs into C2 capabilities, collaborate across engineering teams, analyze test results, and support real-world missions. The role requires Linux development, middleware experience, cross-stack troubleshooting, communication skills, and willingness to use agentic AI and travel.

Develops and edits compliant proposals and business development materials for U.S. Government and defense opportunities. Translates complex technical, operational, and programmatic input into persuasive customer-focused content, including RFIs, sources sought responses, white papers, solution briefs, capability statements, and executive summaries. Collaborates with capture, growth, technical, program, and leadership teams to create win themes, tailor messaging, manage reviews, maintain content libraries, and improve proposal-writing processes.

Manages manufacturing builds from kickoff through commissioning, customer turnover, invoicing, and warranty transition. Owns scope, schedule, budget, quality, resource allocation, risk management, safety, and contract execution. Leads engineering and technician teams, coordinates across Operations and Engineering, reports build status, mentors personnel, and ensures compliance with ISO 9001, SMS, and other applicable standards.

Lead company-wide technical training for autonomous ground vehicle operators, maintainers, safety personnel, and customers. Develop curricula, instructor materials, hands-on exercises, assessments, and certification criteria; coordinate delivery with trainers and field teams; support program kickoffs and deployments; establish scalable intake and execution processes; track readiness and enablement metrics; and continuously improve training through cross-functional and customer feedback.

Build and operate agentic AI infrastructure, including agent definitions, MCP servers, multi-agent orchestration, evaluation harnesses, guardrails, enterprise integrations, identity controls, and production services. Establish reliable autonomy boundaries, observability, security, cost controls, and human escalation processes. Lead adoption through training, onboarding, platform standards, contributor enablement, and cross-functional influence across engineering, safety, IT, cybersecurity, product, and leadership.

Supports mission operations, customer deployments, and account success for autonomous ground systems. Responsibilities include market research, competitive analysis, business-case development, go-to-market strategy support, proposal and presentation preparation, and collaboration with product, engineering, marketing, customers, and partners. The role provides hands-on exposure to advanced hardware and software products in defense and industrial applications, with travel of at least 50% required.

Lead technical execution for complex defense autonomy programs, owning system architecture, requirements, integration, verification, validation, safety, cybersecurity, schedules, and technical delivery. Direct multidisciplinary engineering teams across software, hardware, mechanical, electrical, autonomy, and systems integration. Collaborate with government customers, partners, and vendors, oversee autonomous vehicle and weapons-payload integration, manage technical risks, and support lab and field demonstrations.
