Trainee learns mill operations and becomes proficient in safety and regulatory compliance, operating steam flaking and loader systems, graphical batching, preventive maintenance, micro-ingredient handling, supervising staff, inventory management, budgeting, and continuous development for future mill management roles.

Manage feed mill operations and staff, oversee maintenance and preventative programs, ensure feed quality and regulatory compliance, manage budgets and inventory, conduct safety training, and maintain technical knowledge.

Supervise and coordinate pen riders; ride assigned pens daily to detect and segregate sick or stray cattle; drive cattle for shipping and treatment; train, hire, and manage staff; maintain horse and pen facilities; report maintenance and safety issues; model and enforce safe, low-stress livestock handling practices.

Perform cattle and commodity accounting and administrative tasks: check cattle into system, issue payments, reconcile accounts, prepare reports, weigh incoming commodity trucks, schedule deliveries, run settlements, prepare invoices and data entry. Coordinate cafeteria and custodial staff (hiring, training, performance), maintain personnel and work-comp records, assist payroll submissions, enforce internal controls and compliance, and support general office administrative needs.

Assist in directing feedmill operations, maintenance, quality control, safety compliance, inventory and budget management, and supervise/train employees. Develop preventative maintenance, ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, FDA, EPA), conduct safety training, and cover duties as needed.

Lead the Data & Analytics team to deliver and support enterprise data warehouse, ETL/ELT pipelines, semantic models/cubes, and Power BI reporting. Own strategy, roadmap, governance, project delivery, QA, stakeholder engagement, and enablement for advanced analytics and AI tools (Microsoft Fabric, Foundry, Azure ML Studio).

60-day hands-on apprenticeship rotating through feed delivery, feed mill, animal health, and yard maintenance. Learn feed manufacturing, distribution, cattle health management, and environmental compliance while following safety regulations. Requires basic computer skills, a valid drivers license, and comfort with physical, outdoor work around livestock and equipment.
