The HR Business Partner supports the housing division by advising leaders and employees on HR policies, employee relations, performance management, benefits, leave, accommodations, workers’ compensation, compliance, investigations, onboarding, and terminations. The role analyzes workforce trends, improves HR processes, maintains HRIS records, supports training, and partners with legal and external agencies. It is hybrid, requires onsite work in San Francisco at least three days weekly, and includes up to 30% statewide travel.

Provides in-person digital literacy coaching, technical support, workshops, and career-readiness assistance to adult learners and system-impacted individuals. Helps participants use devices, email, internet platforms, accounts, and job applications; maintains records, conducts intake and follow-up, and supports welcoming digital access spaces. The role requires trauma-informed communication, adaptable instruction, troubleshooting skills, travel among community and jail sites, and successful jail clearance.
