Manage and grow assigned customer accounts by servicing inventory and consignment systems, placing purchase orders, negotiating pricing with suppliers, and resolving inventory issues. Maintain account margins, inventory turns, and on-time delivery while collaborating with outside sales, quality, and supply chain. Provide product knowledge, create pricing quotations, identify new business opportunities, and monitor market/competitive conditions to recommend strategies.

The Application Engineer engages in hands-on engineering, customer interaction, and product testing, offering technical solutions to fastening challenges. The role requires strong mechanical engineering knowledge and collaboration with various teams.

Serve as primary contact for assigned accounts, combining customer service and purchasing. Manage inventory/consignment systems, place purchase orders, provide pricing quotes, negotiate supplier pricing, drive account margins and inventory turns, resolve obsolete inventory issues, support outside sales, and identify new business opportunities while collaborating with quality and supply chain.
