The Technical Manager, Software manages a team of embedded software designers, ensuring delivery of high-quality embedded systems. Responsibilities include team management, project support, pre-sales technical assistance, and defining software development processes.

Support Business Development Managers by managing assigned accounts, nurturing relationships, qualifying leads, participating in discovery and scoping, coordinating internal teams, tracking CRM activity, identifying expansion opportunities, and periodically traveling within the territory to grow services revenue.

Lead hunter-focused business development to win high-complexity North American engineering services. Prospect, build relationships with silicon vendors and FAEs, position Fidus as early-stage design partner, defend premium onshore rates, and drive revenue within a defined territory through pipeline generation, upsell, and cross-sell.

The PCB Layout Designer will create high-speed, multi-layer PCBs, collaborating with teams on design, manufacturing compliance, and emerging technologies.

Lead and contribute to BSP-level embedded software for communication, networking, and video applications. Develop device drivers, manage kernel configurations, use Yocto/PetaLinux, integrate and debug FPGA SoCs and hardware, set architecture and technical direction, mentor teams, work with customers, and apply best practices for maintainable, high-quality code.

Lead Signal Integrity and Power Integrity analysis for high-speed electronic systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design compliance and performance.

Design and deliver high-speed electronic systems from architecture through bring-up: schematic capture, component selection, simulations (LTSpice), SI/PI collaboration, PCB constraints (OrCAD/Cadence), prototype lab verification, test plan development, regulatory certification, documentation, and mentoring junior designers.

Lead and deliver BSP-level embedded software for communication, networking, and video applications. Develop device drivers, kernel configs, and Yocto/PetaLinux build flows; integrate and debug FPGA SoCs with hardware using schematics and lab instruments; set architecture and provide technical leadership, mentor teams, and work with customers. Remote with ~20% travel.

Provide onsite IT support and helpdesk ownership, administer Azure/Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Purview, Sentinel, Exchange Online), lead AI enablement, manage identity/SSO/SCIM integrations, maintain endpoints (Windows, Linux, Mac), provision hardware (Autopilot), document processes, and support security and compliance.

Design and deliver high-speed electronic systems from architecture through bring-up and validation. Perform schematic capture, component selection, simulations (LTSpice), PCB/Signal Integrity collaboration, prototype lab debugging, test-plan development, regulatory certification support, and mentor junior designers. Work cross-functionally with FPGA, software, SI/PI, layout, and mechanical teams on complex products using high-speed interfaces and protocols.

Design and deliver complex FPGA/CPLD systems: define architectures, implement RTL, integrate IP, run simulations, close timing, support lab bring-up/debug, perform customer demos, and produce documentation and estimates.

Support Sales/Business Manager with CRM (Salesforce) maintenance, lead qualification, proposals/quotations, reporting, client coverage, process improvements, cross-department liaison, and marketing initiative support to grow accounts and ensure timely sales activities.
