The Information Systems Security Engineer integrates cybersecurity into system architectures across the lifecycle. Responsibilities include engineering and validating RMF security controls, conducting vulnerability and risk assessments, developing security documentation and authorization artifacts, supporting continuous monitoring, establishing secure baselines, evaluating system changes, and collaborating with engineering and government stakeholders. The role supports defense and classified environments, secure cloud and enterprise IT systems, DevSecOps, Zero Trust, and cybersecurity compliance.

Supports NIWC Atlantic logistics activities, including material movement, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and inventory-system record analysis. Reviews and maintains stock, interprets plans and drawings, prepares CAD shop drawings, supports test specimen fabrication, and verifies quality and safety standards. Requires active Secret clearance, five years of technical problem-solving experience, engineering knowledge, Microsoft Office proficiency, and strong communication skills. The role is primarily on-site with one optional telework day.

Lead middleware engineering and administration across Linux, UNIX, and Windows environments. Architect, install, configure, monitor, and maintain application servers, web servers, portals, and related software. Support deployment scheduling, availability, and performance objectives. Develop middleware security standards, ensure compliance with Army requirements, perform Security Readiness Reviews, and document findings in POA&M plans. Troubleshoot applications and assist developers using Java or C# expertise.
