Coordinates vessel stowage and terminal plans to maximize cargo capacity, ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading, monitor schedules, resolve operational issues, communicate with stakeholders, and support compliance with HSSE, SQF, and FSMA requirements.

Oversee daily bulk storage and maritime terminal operations, including vessel coordination, cargo handling, labor supervision, equipment needs, safety, environmental compliance, maintenance, reporting, budgeting, and customer relationships. Lead field teams, investigate incidents, monitor productivity, support cost control and commercial activities, and ensure operational goals are met across industrial facilities.

Performs deck and tow operations under a captain’s supervision, including mooring vessels, rigging and inspecting towing lines, loading and unloading supplies, lookout watches, deck maintenance, painting, machinery lubrication, cable repair, and barge leak checks. Maintains vessel cleanliness, safety, rigging, and compliance with company policies. Works rotating 12-hour day and night shifts. Requires a valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent.

Manage daily operations for bulk and bagging warehouses supporting maritime cargo. Responsibilities include supervising staff, overseeing inventory and cargo flow, coordinating with ports, trucking, rail, and vendors, enforcing safety and environmental compliance, maintaining equipment, improving efficiency, preparing performance reports, and supporting budgeting and cost control.

Supervises union labor personnel and coordinates daily vessel cargo operations, including loading, discharging, stowage, scheduling, training, safety compliance, equipment inspection, inventory control, and performance documentation. Works with port leadership and cargo officers to ensure efficient and timely terminal operations. The role operates primarily in warehouse and outdoor environments and includes limited travel of up to 10%.

Provides high-level administrative support to a Co-CEO and Corporate Development team by managing complex calendars, travel, meetings, expenses, confidential files, communications, and transaction-related activities. Coordinates executives, board members, investors, advisors, and external stakeholders while supporting diligence, presentations, office administration, and special projects. This is a full-time, in-office New York City role requiring discretion, organization, adaptability, and occasional flexibility outside normal business hours.

Leads breakbulk operations across marine terminals and warehouses, owning business performance, customer service, labor and equipment planning, resource allocation, safety, compliance, financial results, and continuous improvement. Develops operational leaders, coordinates vessel and warehouse activity, resolves cross-functional constraints, manages customer relationships, and drives productivity, quality, profitability, and service excellence across the Mid-Atlantic operation.

Stevedores are hired for daily shifts based on available cargo work. Workers call the hiring line, scan their PMTA-ILA identification card, receive a gang or crew assignment, and report on time to the assigned terminal with required identification, TWIC card, and PPE. Car-ship assignments additionally require an original Social Security card and valid driver's license. Applicants must already work with ILA Longshoremen Local 1694.
